Quick answers for keeping time on iPhone and Apple Watch.
How do I install the Apple Watch app?
On your paired iPhone, open the Watch app, tap My Watch, scroll to Available Apps, find isochrony, and tap Install. Automatic App Install may have already installed it.
How do I change tempo?
Use the BPM slider or −/+ controls on iPhone. On Apple Watch, turn the Digital Crown. isochrony supports 20–240 BPM.
How does tap tempo work?
Tap the tempo control rhythmically and isochrony calculates the BPM from your recent taps. Pause for three seconds to start a fresh reading.
Which time signatures are available?
Choose from 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, 7/4, 3/8, 5/8, 6/8, 7/8, 9/8, and 12/8.
How does tempo listening work?
On Apple Watch, open Listening and start the microphone session near a steady sound source. Audio is analyzed on-device to estimate BPM and is never recorded or uploaded.
Why can’t I feel haptics?
Test another haptic profile, confirm haptics are enabled in system settings, and try the app on a physical Apple Watch. The simulator cannot reproduce Watch haptics.
Can I save tempos?
Yes. Save favorite tempos with custom names on Apple Watch and combine favorites into playlists for practice or performance.
Does isochrony need the internet?
No. Core functionality works offline, without an account, advertising, analytics, or tracking.
